NYC’S HOTTEST NEW PARTY TO “DIG”
Any nightlife enthusiast knows the quintessential idea of the unadvertised party, raging on behind the modest door of an unassuming building as those who aren’t in the know pass obliviously by. On 2/21, one such gathering occurred, but under an even sneakier guise; the attendees danced and drank in a secret room within NYC’s already exclusive Up & Down. This is DIG.
Created by the killer producer Jay xero and multitalented photographer/artist Tasha Tongpreecha, DIG has been bringing together culture curators, kindred spirits, creative innovators and fashionistas since June of 2014. Xero spins the hottest deep house as trendy partiers dance, collaborate, and unwind into the wee hours of the morning. The event goes down every month, hitting legendary nightlife staples like Le Baron in Chinatown among others.
The most recent DIG party at Up & Down’s secret room was only the second time that anyone had partied there. At a Fashion Week after party at the club a week prior, Drake, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber requested a more secluded location, at which point they were brought through a purple door into the previously unused space. A new NYC nightlife hotspot was born.
