The cutting-edge premium denim line, Fabric Brand, named Hiro Ikuta as Director of Fabric and Textiles to present a satisfying answer of this question. Ikuta joined the Citizens of Humanity company in 2015 from Itochu where he spent years developing denim with leading mills, brands and manufacturing partners. He is known for his strong technical knowledge and innovative ideas. Ikuta relocated from Japan to Los Angeles for the role and works closely with the design team to develop and source materials for Fabric Brand.
The collection features one slim jean style in exclusive Japanese selvedge washes. Produced using only the most authentic, handcrafted products from Japan's top mills in the Kojima district, the collection combines Japan's superior manufacturing techniques with modern silhouettes and finishes to create a distinctly quality product. Each piece is produced in a traditional Japanese fashion through every step of the process; blending cotton, spinning yarns, and weaving.
