Amongst the fun and chaos that comes with fashion week, Marc Jacobs did a fantastic job in adding to the excitement during his party last night celebrating GLOSS: The Work of Chris Von Wagenheim. With a dress code set in place, glamour, danger and provocative fashion was the theme of the night as the New York institution Tunnel was filled with guests adorned in sequins, heels and excessive makeup. No natural looks were accepted as chaotic props, such as tires and old vandalized cars, filled the room. Sex, fur and fire echoed about as fashion elite, models and drag queens filled the space, lipstick blazing. The essence of the book, which contains over two hundred provocative and iconic images ranging from 1968 to 1981, resonated though out the night. Not only did the guests and dress code work to create a 90’s club scene vibe, but the loud music, free alcohol, a large dance space and a vibe that accepted and expected debauchery worked together to create an unordinary and fun experience. Not only did it transform the atmosphere but also was a creative and successful ode to Chris Von Wagenheim’s work.
