Gareth Pugh showed a collection with capes and high angular collars that would clearly summon the savior of Gotham City. Even the quirky Jeremy Scott gave a nod to the beloved Rainbow Brite with a fox fur chubby dyed in every color of the rainbow. In case the supposed doomsday involves the arrival of another Ice Age, Nicola Formichetti and Sébastien Peigné at Mugler showcased snow warriors: their arms and faces covered in snowy-white armor. Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen had her models don capes, oversized visors and belts that were also apropos come an impending snowstorm. At Balenciaga, Nicolas Ghesquiere presented a collection of futuristic and intergalactic looks surely to electrify Storm’s sartorial circuits. Whichever superhero look you choose this winter, be sure to wear it with aplomb and ferocity.
