La Femme, is a French band with a mixed musical style that is a blend of coldwave, punk, rock and yéyé.
Cherry Glazerr collaborates with Yves Saint Laurent
Raw, young and unique is only the beginning of the L.A trio, Cherry Glazerr. The three-piece band from L.A. started making magic in 2013 when singer-songwriter Clementine Creevy joined with bassist Sean Redman and drummer Hannah Uribe. Creevy and Uribe are still in high school, under 18.
Since they formed, Cherry Glazerr has near-perfected their eerie trademark of garage rock. If you have not heard about the band yet, Cherry Glazerr is a name you do not want to forget. The indie rock trio has earned a significant amount of high-profile press recently.
Yves Saint Laurent designer Hedi Silmane commissioned the band’s song “Had Ten Dollaz” to soundtrack Saint Laurent's fall 2014 runway show. "Had Ten Dollaz" is not the traditional soundtrack to a fashion show, but the effortlessly cool song strutted the runway with confidence.
Saint Laurent also paired the band's song “Trick or Treat” with a music video to feature the brand’s classic ballerina shoe. The black and white video shows model Gracie Van Gastel dancing freely to “Trick or Treat.”
Earlier this year, Cherry Glazerr released their newest album Haxel Princess, providing fans a soundtrack about crushes, crybabies and the perfect grilled cheese.
Beyond the runway, the band has not only caught the attention of designers but also film fanatics. Cherry Glazerr had taken Tiny Tim’s song “ Tiptoe Through the Tulips” into their hands. The whimsical, terrifying song is featured in the Insidious: Chapter 3 movie trailer. The sweet whispered taunts would catch the attention of any horror film fanatic. The movie will release in May 2015.
