COLORING BOOK "MAGICAL JUNGLE" BY Johanna Basford

August 09, 2016 3:00 PM

“I create books so they can make masterpieces,” says Johanna Basford, about her new coloring book, Magical Jungle, which was recently published.

A graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee, Johanna already sold 16 million books worldwide. Her bestsellers include Lost OceanSecret GardenEnchanted Forest, and now Magical Jungle as her newest hit. With a new book called Johanna’s Christmas being published in October, the illustrator could not be more excited to see her ink come to life by her beloved fans.

Penguin Books and Virgin Books are pleased to be a part of an international and bestseller inspiration. Penguin Books Executive Editor, Meg Leder, is honored to showcase Johanna’s beautiful visions. Likewise, Virgin Book Editor, Elen Jones, lived through Lost Ocean’s success and couldn’t be more excited to continue the creative collaboration.

A huge fan of the wild, Johanna is thrilled to release intricate drawings of the mysterious jungle. Hand-drawn outlines of speckled tree frogs, hummingbirds, tigers, and monkeys let your imagination run wild in the tropical atmosphere she has created. Whether you’re an old fan or a newcomer, artists of all ages are welcomed to color-in these exquisite creatures and be a part of the wildlife themselves.
