Hot off the release of the spring/summer ’15 Psych Rock collection, Hedi Slimane has appropriately enlisted folk legend Joni Mitchell to join the Saint Laurent Music Project.

The Kentina 2020 show presented by Twelv magazine, hosted an array of designs promoting the denim brand - Okayama.
The talented, ambitious and dynamic designer Kento Utsubo, presented his creative work of high fashion and highly detailed denim couture in the center of NYFW at the trendy M1-5 bar and lounge, turned runway.
Among the rapid city, the vivid designs of mixed textures, bold flares and strong denim tones allowed the audience to experience and lust for Kentina’s debut. The theme of Madonna’s iconic career complimented what Kento and his brand stands for; confidence, style and bold ideas. This complimented well with the Saki and Japanese beer guests were gifted upon arrival of the grungy, cool location.
The Japanese artist began his career in makeup, showcasing his artistic skills in a bold, vibrant way. Since makeup, Kento began his fashion line, blessing the community with his forward-thinking designs.
The Kentina team hosted the show with the purpose of attracting like-minded, people with an appreciation of ambitious and authentic culture and content. This inclusive mindset of diversity and inception within the fashion world reverts back to Kento’s aim to redefine the denim brand, Okayama, renowned for its quality and style.
The Kentina collection combines Kento’s dynamic approach to using color, to amplify the base of his strong, flamboyant denim patchwork that is making a comeback since its 90’s origin. The rugged, highly detailed denim designs integrated into various other materials added a diversion from the basic print to bring a masterpiece of designs, every icon would gladly model. Kentina 2020 was highly recognized in all its denim glory by the audience of influentially and seasoned.
Through flares, details and pops of color, Kentina successfully amplified Okayama’s strong quality denim, perfectly complimenting the designer’s personal creative aesthetic.
The Kentina team sported simple tees of a bold, relatable statement: ‘Why is Madonna not my girlfriend?’. Throughout the show, Madonna remixes played among strong, personalized imagery of Kento among similarly spectacular models ‘striking their pose’.
This backdrop represented the light-hearted, conscious and talented Kento team that graced New York Fashion Week 2019.
